This summer Luxo is launching three new winter stars…
Ice, cold, and a frosty Arctic landscape were images that Olle Anderson had in mind when he designed a new series of large luminaires for Luxo. All with Luxo’s usual simple geometry. Oulo and Kemi were names taken from the north. Alice is an expression of how Olle likes to play with words: “All like ice”. These fittings are designed for large rooms, and give a good sideways light. The ring shaped blinds prevent direct view of the light source when looking at an angle from below.
Oulo Large pendant luminaire consisting of an inner light source enclosed in a cylinder of optical acrylic and concentric horizontal rings which together form a sphere. The rings, which are all of the same width, are mounted on four chrome plated arms. Diameter: 700 mm. Height: 600 mm.
Kemi Large pendant luminaire consisting of an inner light source enclosed in a cylinder of optical acrylic and concentric horizontal rings which together form a vertical ellipsoid. The rings, which are of different widths, enclose the acrylic cylinder tightly. The arms and other load bearing elements are chrome plated. Diameter: 550 mm. Height: 600 mm.
Alice Pendant and ceiling luminaries of white opal glass. Metal parts are lacquered or chrome plated. Available in two sizes, 510 mm and 330 mm high.
